Choose a Curriculum Pathway
British Curriculum
Typical structure: Early Years / Foundation Stage → Key Stages → GCSE / IGCSE → A Levels or other post-16 qualifications
Common strengths: Clear progression structure, broad availability in Dubai, strong presence of UK examination pathways.
Assessment: GCSE / IGCSE and A-Level or school-specific UK qualifications, depending on the school.
Calendar: Many Dubai British schools start in August or September, but the school’s own academic calendar controls.
Tuition: Fees vary significantly by school and year group. Use the individual KHDA school fact sheet rather than a generic market range.
Do Not Compare Curricula by “Better”
British, IB, CBSE and American schools serve different academic and family goals. The right comparison is usually based on the child’s stage, university destination, learning style, transfer plans, school quality and total cost.

2026–27 Admission Age Cut-Offs

Schools that begin the academic year in April continue to use the 31 March cut-off.
The 2026–27 change applies to new admissions. Children already enrolled in school are not reclassified solely because of the amended cut-off rule.
Dubai Private-School Fees in 2026–27
There is no reliable single tuition range for an entire curriculum. A British school can be much cheaper or more expensive than another British school, and tuition also changes by year group. The safest way to compare costs is to use the current KHDA school directory and the individual school’s fee fact sheet.

Sibling Discounts — School-Specific
Dubai does not have one universal sibling discount percentage for every private school. Each school publishes its own discount structure through the KHDA fee fact sheet.

- Whether the discount applies to tuition only
- Whether it can be combined with other discounts
- Whether the school group uses a standard or campus-specific schedule

Compare British, IB, CBSE, American or other curricula according to the child’s academic and university plans.
3. Check KHDA rating
Review the overall rating plus inclusion, wellbeing and inspection-report details.
4. Compare actual fees
Use the current KHDA fee fact sheet rather than internet-wide tuition ranges.
5. Add non-tuition costs
Include registration, transport, uniform, books, exams, learning support and activities.
6. Check admissions
