Expat Transition Steps

  1. Visit an authorized Alberta Registry Agent office in person.
  2. Bring your passport, work permit (minimum 6 months validity), proof of residency, and old license.
  3. Apply for AHCIP at the same registry office to activate immediate public healthcare coverage.
  4. Receive your registry printout; the official cards are mailed by the government.
