Medical practice licence vs Golden Residency approval
A medical-practice licence and Golden Residency accreditation serve different purposes. A UAE health regulator authorises the physician to practise medicine. The Golden Residency category requires the applicable accreditation/recommendation from the competent health authority. Current ICP specifically lists an accreditation letter from the Ministry of Health to practise the profession for doctors.

Scientist & researcher route
The current ICP Golden Residency framework gives scientists a specific exceptional-talent route. The current published requirement is a recommendation letter from the Emirates Council of Scientists or an award for scientific excellence.
Other healthcare professionals
The federal implementing regulation is broader than doctors alone. It identifies health professionals including dentists, pharmacists, nurses, audiologists, speech and visual therapists, physical therapists, nutritionists and other vital health specialties within the specialist framework. Their individual professional licence and competent-authority recommendation requirements still apply.
