Cabinet Resolution No. 65 of 2022 expressly includes talented persons in the field of digital technologywithin the exceptional-talent framework. The regulation requires the recommendation or approval specified by the competent authority.
This is broader and legally safer than saying that every AI engineer must obtain a generic “AI Office nomination.” The actual recommendation pathway should be confirmed for the applicant and current authority process.
AI scientist / researcher route
Current ICP guidance lists scientists among the 10-year Golden Residency categories and identifies a recommendation from the Emirates Council of Scientists or a recognised scientific-excellence award as the relevant evidence route.

Family and long-term residence benefits
ICP's current Golden Residency framework states that eligible Golden Residents can obtain residence permits for their spouse and children and live, work, study and invest in the UAE without the ordinary requirement for a sponsor.
