UAE Humanitarian Golden Visa
Current guide to the federal Humanitarian Pioneers and Workers Golden Residency category for humanitarian organisation members, public-interest workers, award recipients, distinguished volunteers and financial supporters.
Important: “Red Crescent Golden Visa” is not the formal federal category name. Emirates Red Crescent may be relevant to humanitarian activity, but the statutory recommendation framework is centred on the Ministry of Community Development and competent authorities.
Current federal humanitarian Golden Residency framework
Federal Cabinet Resolution No. 65 of 2022 identifies Humanitarian Pioneers and Workers as a Golden Residence category. It includes members or employees of international and regional organisations, members or employees of civil associations and institutions of public interest, recipients of humanitarian merit awards, distinguished volunteers and financial supporters of humanitarian work. The recommendation is from the Ministry of Community Development in coordination with competent authorities.

Who falls within the legal humanitarian category?
Article 22 of the executive regulations identifies five broad humanitarian groups. The category is broader than Emirates Red Crescent alone and is designed around the applicant's actual humanitarian contribution.

Emirates Red Crescent's role
Emirates Red Crescent can be highly relevant when the applicant's humanitarian record comes from ERC activities, donations or recognised service. However, the federal regulation does not define a separate “ERC Golden Visa” category. The statutory humanitarian recommendation is from the Ministry of Community Development in coordination with competent federal and local authorities.
Humanitarian financial-support route
Current ICP guidance publishes financial support of at least AED 2 million for humanitarian initiatives as one route for Humanitarian Pioneers and Frontline Heroes. This is not the same as a general charitable donation made to any organisation.

Distinguished volunteering

Golden Residency is a long-term residence framework without the ordinary sponsor requirement.

Document the contribution
Service history, awards, volunteer hours, financial support or other documented humanitarian achievements.
Obtain the recommendation

Complete ICP residence
Submit the Golden Residence application and complete passport, insurance and remaining residence procedures.
