Private Education Institutions

General Rule

Indian students pursuing full-time non-religious study at an EduTrust-certified Private Education Institution need the appropriate Student's Pass unless an existing qualifying immigration pass applies.

Non Edu Trust

A non-EduTrust-certified PEI cannot offer placement to a new foreign student who needs a Student's Pass. Foreigners with an existing valid Dependant's Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass or Immigration Exemption Order may enrol where that existing pass remains valid for the entire study period.

Work

Private-school students should not assume that they qualify for the same student work exemption available to students at institutions listed by MOM.

Graduate Ltvp

Purpose
