Statutory Overview & Urban Master Plan Framework
Sentosa is Singapore's major resort island south of the mainland and is managed by Sentosa Development Corporation. The island combines Resorts World Sentosa, beaches, nature trails, heritage sites, hotels, residential areas and visitor attractions. The three principal beaches are Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong, together forming about 3.2 kilometres of beachfront. Resorts World Sentosa includes Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark, while Fort Siloso is a National Monument and preserved coastal fort. Visitors can reach Sentosa by the Sentosa Express from VivoCity, the Sentosa Boardwalk, public bus, Singapore Cable Car or road access through Sentosa Gateway. Sentosa Cove is a private residential and marina precinct, and foreign persons require approval under Singapore's Residential Property Act to buy landed residential property there.
