UAE Golden Residence for Outstanding Students
ICP currently lists 5 years for outstanding high-school students and 10 years for outstanding university students. Golden Residence is a long-term, self-sponsored residence category and does not depend on an ordinary employer or university sponsor.
The detailed Dubai service adds category-specific academic, graduation-date, ranking and certificate requirements. Therefore, a generic “GPA 3.5 = Golden Visa” statement is not sufficient for publication.

Where the AED 500 inside-country charge applies, the listed components become AED 1,640 before any other situation-specific charges. GDRFA also states that the issuance fee increases by AED 100 annually where the residency exceeds two years.
Golden Residence Benefits

Golden Residence and Staying Outside the UAE
This is an important difference from many ordinary residence permits. The exemption does not mean the Golden Residence can remain expired; the underlying residence permit must still be valid.
Applicants who have a Dubai-issued Golden Residence should still check the actual GDRFA residence file before long-term travel or re-entry.
