Dubai Salik Toll Gate: Complete Guide & Cost Calculator

How the Salik RFID toll system works, all 8 gate locations, how to register your tag, top up, and calculate your monthly toll costs.

What is Salik?

Salik (Arabic: سالك — meaning "clear" or "open road") is Dubai's automated, barrier-free road toll system operated by Salik PJSC (listed on the Dubai Financial Market since 2022) under RTA Dubai. The system uses RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and license plate recognition technology to automatically charge tolls without requiring vehicles to stop.

Salik uses dynamic/variable pricing since 2023 — tolls vary from AED 4 to AED 6 depending on the time of day and traffic levels. All vehicles must have a Salik tag affixed to their windshield when driving through any Salik gate in Dubai.
