Current Policy Status: While court orders prevent USCIS from accepting or processing initial DACA requests, renewal requests remain active. DACA recipients can continue to submit renewals to maintain their status and employment authorization document (EAD).
Required Forms & Documents
Every DACA renewal package must include the following USCIS forms. Check off the items below as you assemble your packet:
Complete sections corresponding to renewals. Provide updated criminal/residency history details since your last approval.
Mark eligibility category as (c)(33) (DACA recipient).
Provide your current annual income, annual expenses, and total value of assets.
Recent identical color photographs taken within the last 30 days.
Includes the I-821D fee and the I-765 work permit fee. Online filings typically offer direct card payments.
Recommended Filing Window
USCIS recommends filing your DACA renewal request between **120 and 150 days** before your current DACA approval and work permit expire.
Filing fewer than 120 days before expiration increases the risk that your current status and work authorization will lapse before your renewal is processed.
