The calculator starts from the number of days already liable for an overstay fine. It does not determine the grace-period end date, because that date depends on the specific visa/residence category and immigration file.
Do not count the grace period as overstay days
The AED 50/day rate applies after the permitted stay or applicable grace period ends. This calculator assumes that the days entered are already chargeable overstay days.
The UAE Government does not use one universal post-cancellation grace period for every residence category. Some categories have substantially longer periods.
Current UAE overstay rule
ICP currently standardises the immigration overstay fine at AED 50 per day for the relevant visa or residence violation after the applicable permitted-stay/grace period.
The fine itself is straightforward to calculate, but the difficult part is determining the date on which a specific person becomes liable. That depends on the visa type, cancellation/expiry event, resident category, entry permit conditions and any legally available grace period.

Residence grace periods: category-dependent

ICP states that the regular departure permit requires payment of all outstanding fines. A departure permit also has a validity period requiring departure within 7 days of issuance.

The original page’s universal AED 1,100 status-change figure has been removed. ICP’s published Amendment of Visa Data service lists:
