UAE Immigration Skill & Visa Evaluator

Screen selected UAE Green Residence, Golden Residency and standard employment pathways using published federal requirements.

This is a preliminary eligibility screen, not a government decision. UAE immigration categories have different legal requirements and there is no single universal immigration points score.

For an employed route, use the relevant monthly salary figure required by that visa category. For self-employment, use the separate annual-income field below.
The Green skilled-employee route requires occupational level 1, 2 or 3. The exact occupation is determined through MoHRE classification, not merely by job title entered on this page.

MoHRE occupational classification

MoHRE’s occupational classification is relevant to work-permit and Green skilled-employee processing. It should not be converted into an independent immigration points score.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Green Residence route for a skilled employee requires a valid UAE employment contract, classification at occupational level 1, 2 or 3 under the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) classification, a minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a monthly salary of at least AED 15,000. Meeting these screening conditions does not by itself guarantee approval because the competent authority still checks the full application and supporting documents.

No official UAE immigration rule identified for the Green or Golden Residence routes uses the page’s former 100-point formula of degree points plus salary points plus experience points. Immigration eligibility is category-specific and is determined from the legal requirements of the relevant residence route. A calculator should therefore screen the published requirements rather than invent a universal points score.

There is no single AED 30,000 salary rule that applies to every Golden Residency applicant. Golden Residence has several categories, including investors, entrepreneurs, exceptional talents and specialists, outstanding students, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes. Requirements vary by category. For example, ICP currently lists a salary certificate of at least AED 50,000 plus a qualifying degree, at least five years’ experience in the same position and a valid work contract for the executive-director category.

Yes. The self-employment Green Residence route requires a relevant free work permit from MoHRE, at least a bachelor’s degree, specialised diploma or equivalent, and annual self-employment income of at least AED 360,000 during the previous two years, or evidence of financial solvency for the stay. This is a separate Green Residence pathway from the skilled-employee route.

Academic-document requirements depend on the residence category and application. Where an attested or certified degree is required, the document must go through the applicable legalisation and UAE attestation process. For some Golden Residence categories, ICP specifically requires a certified or accredited educational certificate. Applicants should therefore follow the current ICP, MoFA and competent-authority instructions for the exact visa category rather than assuming every residence visa uses an identical attestation process.

No. Experience is only one possible requirement within particular Golden Residence categories and does not independently create eligibility. For the Green skilled-employee route, the published core conditions focus on the employment contract, occupational level, degree and AED 15,000 salary threshold. Golden Residence has category-specific requirements, such as the current five-year same-position experience requirement for executive directors, alongside the other category conditions.
