Art. 25
Equality Before Law

All persons are equal before the law with no discrimination on grounds of race, nationality, or social status.

Art. 26
Personal Liberty

Personal liberty is guaranteed. No person shall be arrested, searched, detained, or imprisoned except as provided by law.

Freedom from Torture

Infliction of physical or moral harm upon persons who are arrested or imprisoned is absolutely prohibited.

The UAE Constitution's Chapter III (Articles 25–45) guarantees fundamental rights including equality before law, personal liberty, freedom from torture, presumption of innocence, freedom of movement, freedom of opinion, right to private property, right to work, and right to education.

Article 30 guarantees freedom of opinion and expression whether verbal, written, or by other means, within the limits of the law. Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combating Rumours and Cybercrime further regulates digital expression.
