Important Renewal Note:Most consular services require applications to be submitted when your current passport has less than 1 year of validity remaining. Ensure you keep copies of your Canadian PR cards, work permits, or study permits, as they are mandatory proofs of legal status in Canada for all renewals.

Required Documents Checklist:

Online application form printed from the Government of India Passport Seva portal.
Original Indian passport + clean photocopies of first and last pages.
Proof of legal status in Canada (Valid PR Card, Work Permit, or Study Permit).
Proof of Canadian Address (Driver's License, Utility Bill, or Rental Lease).
Record of Landing (IMM 1000) or Confirmation of PR (COPR) if applicable.
Payment of fees (Debit Card, Cash, or Demand Draft).

Adult Passport (36-Page Booklet): Approx $176 CAD total (consular fee + BLS service charge). Adult Passport (60-Page Jumbo Booklet): Approx $246 CAD total. Minor Passport (36-Page): Approx $128 CAD. Tatkaal (Expedited) service: additional surcharge applies — check BLS Canada website for current rates. Fees effective 2026.
