Important distinction: GCC citizens vs GCC residents
This page is specifically for foreign residents of GCC countries. UAE citizens who are citizens of another GCC state have different UAE entry treatment and do not use this eVisa route simply because they live in a GCC country.
The UAE Government states that GCC nationals do not need a UAE entry visa to enter the country.
Why the profession field cannot be reduced to “manager, engineer or investor”
The official rule does not say that every manager, engineer, IT specialist, doctor, investor or business owner automatically qualifies. It requires the profession to be on the approved profession list and says that the profession remains subject to evaluation by the competent authority.
