IRCC 24-Hour Compliance Rule: Effective late 2024 / 2025, international students in Canada are permitted to work up to 24 hours per week off-campus during regular academic semesters. Working beyond this limit without a work permit is a serious violation of study permit conditions and can lead to deportation or refusal of future PGWP/PR applications. Full-time work is allowed only during scheduled academic breaks (e.g. summer/winter breaks).
