- Weekly Definition: For IRCC compliance, a week is defined as **Sunday to Saturday**. You cannot "average" hours across multiple weeks. Working 30 hours one week and 18 hours the next constitutes a violation.
- On-Campus Work: There is **no legal limit** on the number of hours you can work *on-campus* (e.g. library assistant, research aide). On-campus hours do not count toward your 24-hour off-campus limit.
- Co-op Work Permits: If your academic program requires a co-op or internship placement, these hours are covered by your Co-op Work Permit and do not count toward the 24-hour off-campus limit.
Full-Time Work During Scheduled Breaks
Students are permitted to work **full-time** (unlimited hours) off-campus during scheduled academic breaks if they meet the following:
- Active Enrollment: You must be registered as a full-time student both *before* and *after* the break period.
- Official Calendar: The break must be part of your school's official academic calendar (e.g., Summer semester, Winter break, or Spring Reading Week).
