File Upload Specifications

IRCC enforces strict limits on the sizes and formats of files submitted through the web form portal. Files that do not comply will cause rejection or crash the submission:

Step-by-Step Submission Guide

  1. Go to the official IRCC Web Form Portal.
  2. Select **"Yes"** to the question asking if your application has already been submitted.
  3. Provide the applicant details: **Full Name**, **Email Address**, **Date of Birth**, **UCI (Unique Client Identifier)**, and **Application Number**.
  4. In the text box, write a concise explanation of your change (e.g. *"I am writing to declare the birth of my child. Please find attached the birth certificate, Form IMM 5406, and payment receipt"*).
  5. Proceed to the upload screen, select your documents, click **"Upload"**, and verify the file names appear correctly.
  6. Submit the form and save the **PDF confirmation page** with the tracking receipt number for your records.
